Day 7 - January 5th, 2009 - Sea Day #3

To be completely honest, we were dreading being back at sea. The first two sea days were lack luster to say the least. But we had met some really cool people so we hoped for the best.

Now the past three days were incredible and very long. Today we slept until about 1pm.

We decided to go to the Empire room and have a little lunch. We were sat at a table with a couple from England who currently live in San Francisco. Lunch was decent and the company was good.

We headed out into the ship and played a few games with our mostest favorite Entertainment coordinator Katie from the U.K.

She was our favorite entertainment person on the cruise.

We took more pictures, stopped by the coffee bar and picked up a couple chocolate chip cookies and milk shakes and worked on the blog a little.

This is the mid-ship pool on the Lido deck.

We also spent much of the day looking for Ana, who had bought the CD with all white water river trip on them. Apparently she wasn’t feeling well today and spent most it in her cabin, so we didn’t see her. :)

Tonight was out second formal night on the ship, so we decided to get our picture taken.

We ate dinner at the Supper Club, the ships 5 star resturant. It was nice, definately better food that the Empire Room.

We only took the iPhone with is, which is terrible in low light. . . hence the crappy pics.

Our table had a perminant lighting fixture in the middle of the table. “All I could think of is, what happens if the boat suddenly stops, I would be impailed by the light!” – Daniel

Lisa took every chance to play with her puzzle ring!! lol

After dinner we went and visited table 343 where our dinner-mates were eating. We’ve missed socializing with them the past several days. We all agreed to have lunch together tomorrow at noon.

After that we ran into Richard, Michelle, and Ben and hung with them for a while.

Tonight was the midnight R rated comedy & magic show staring Mr. Magic himself. . . um. . .yeah. . . but he was neither comedic or a talented magician. . . He knew slight of hand and that’s really about it. . . We left early but later learned that his final trick consisted of telling the volunteer to say “Trix” when asked. . . Glad we left when we did. . .

We dropped by Ana’a room and we noticed she hadn’t grabbed her Carnival Capers (The bi-fold that tells of all tomorrow events, they are left every night for the following day). So we left her a litte message to let her know we missed her today!!

Our sunset picture of the day

Our cute little creature that greeted us when we got back to the stateroom. We think he is “the cool pig”. . .
